Christmas Cheer Fills Park Road Community Primary School

Park Road Community Primary School was brimming with festive spirit this Christmas as pupils across all year groups took part in a range of activities and performances.
Year 2 pupils impressed with their learning about the Christingle celebration, exploring the meaning behind each part before making their own. They also spread Christmas cheer beyond the classroom, creating handmade cards for patients at Warrington and Wythenshawe Hospitals.
Year 1 delved into the Christmas story, creating their own illustrated books that showcased both writing and artistic skills.
Reception and Key Stage 1 classes delighted audiences with their performance of The Big, Little Nativity, working hard to learn songs, dances, and lines for a truly magical show.
Key Stage 2 added a groovy twist to their nativity performance with Groovin’ Christmas, featuring disco donkeys, groovy shepherds, sparkly innkeepers, dazzling angels, and a fantastic Mary, Joseph, and Angel Gabriel. Pupils sang with pride and danced energetically, bringing the story to life in a fun and memorable way.
The school choir also had the opportunity to spread festive joy outside the school, performing at a Swedish Santa Lucia evening at Ikea for families and customers, putting everyone in the Christmas spirit and bringing smiles to the wider community.
The term ended on a high note with a lively party day, where children showed off their dance moves and enjoyed festive fun. Alongside a Christmas Jumper and Lunch Day, the celebrations ensured a wonderful end to the term filled with special memories.
From creative learning and heartwarming performances to spreading joy in the community, Park Road Community Primary School truly embraced the magic of Christmas this year.
