A visit from Cheshire Fire Service helped Park Road Community Primary School children learn more about safety in the home and valuable skills which could saves lives.

As part of the visit, Year 5 children experienced the Smoke Tent which taught children the steps to take to make sure they protect themselves and others.

Children entered the smoke tent, located in the school grounds, in groups to experience what it is like to detect smoke and how to react in a safe way.

The Fire Service Youth Engagement Team provides fire safety education to children and young people within Cheshire with officers and firefighters from local fire stations carrying out educational workshops about home fire safety.

What a great visit!
