Well done Year 6

There was a real sense of pride and celebration at Park Road Community Primary School as Year 6 pupils completed their SATs week.
The children arrived at school each day with smiles on their faces ready to tackle their exams and staff couldn’t have been more impressed with their approach and determination.
In the lead-up to SATs, the class worked incredibly hard to prepare, but learning never lost its sense of fun. Revision came to life through relay games and a creative twist on The Traitors, where one pupil secretly sabotaged Maths or Grammar missions while others tried to spot them.
Alongside their studies, pupils also took time to plant flowers ready for the school’s upcoming Flower Show and enjoyed moments of calm by reading for pleasure in the sunshine.
Once the tests were complete, the children were rewarded with a well-deserved celebration. They enjoyed a trip to the park, making the most of the fresh air and time together after a busy week, followed by a surprise buffet lunch back at school. The delicious spread, lovingly prepared by Mrs Quigley and Miss Harding, was the perfect way to mark the end of their hard work.
The whole school community is incredibly proud of Year 6, not just for their dedication to their studies but for the positive spirit and teamwork they have shown throughout. It has been a week to remember, and the children should feel very proud of all they have achieved.
